PLAYSTATION fans think they’ve spotted images of an upcoming Sony handheld console.
The images first surfaced on Twitter, where someone apparently got their hands on an incomplete model.

PlayStation’s next handheld console is currently codenamed Project Q.
Announced during the PlayStation Showcase in May, fans have been excited to find out more about what it has to offer.
It has been officially confirmed that Project Q will launch this year, and you’ll need a PS5 in order to use it.
Instead of playing games by itself like the Vita, it streams games from your PS5 via the same network.
During the Microsoft Activision Blizzard court case, it was revealed that Xbox believes the handheld will retail for around $299 (£249).
However, further official details about the PS5 accessory are yet to be announced.
From the images that have been found, we can see that the text is all in Chinese.
As PlayStation is known to manufacture its consoles in China, this adds strength to the validity of the photos.

The images also show Project Q running a number of apps, and it appears to be running on Android.
Remote play is already available for Android phones, already allowing PS5 owners to stream games to their mobiles.
It seems to be running on the most current version of Android – Android 13, also known as Tiramisu – but the next iteration is set to be released this year.
This could be a placeholder version, or it could be updated at a later date.
Project Q has all of the same buttons and functions as a DualSense controller, and the middle is simply stretched out to house the screen.
It seems that there is not much going on behind the screen, and that the whole console will function much like a mobile attached to a product like the Backbone One.
It’s still unclear if these images are legitimate, but they seem to line up with all of the official information released so far.
