Louise Pilkington, director of innovation at Domino’s said: “Customers have been asking us to create a menu to give them a little Domino’s joy at lunch.

“It’s a menu of classic Domino’s flavours in lunch size, we look forward to customer popping in to see us!”

As always it is good to shop around the make sure you are getting the cheapest deal and many other supermarkets and food chains also do meal deals.

We spoke to Britain’s Coupon King, Jordon Cox to find out what he thought of the new Domino’s £4 lunch menu.

While he thought it was great to have another lunch option on the high street for consumers, he did not think the Dominos’ deal was the best in terms of value.

He said: “The £4 wrap or pizza meal doesn’t come with a drink or snack, like a lot of other lunch meal deal offers include for a cheaper price.

Tesco at £3.40 and Sainsbury’s for £3.50 include both a drink and snack. Whereas Greggs includes a drink from £3.75.

Jordon added that he also thought the side of chips for £4 was “incredibly expensive” compared to other fast food chains.

“If you wanted a hot meal for lunch, then this could be a good option, but factor in the cost of a drink or crisps if you wanted something extra”, Jordon concluded.

A new menu is not the only thing that Domino’s fans have to get excited about.

The pizza chain announced earlier this month that it plans to open 700 new locations and has its sights set on running 2,000 stores by 2033.

A loyalty programme is also in the plans for this year, although an exact launch date has not yet been revealed.

What other restaurants offer meal deals?

Another fast-food giant has recently launched a lunchtime meal deal that could rival Greggs and Dominos.

Fast-food giant KFC has promised that its new dining option won’t break the bank.

For those who secretly crave fried chicken during office or school hours, KFC has launched its first-ever lunch-only meal deal.

For just £5.49, fried chicken lovers can get a full meal that includes a main, a drink and crisps.

Customers can choose between a Kentucky Mayo Twister Wrap or a Fillet Burger for their main.

They can also pick between a packet of Walkers MAX crisps or a delicious Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie.

For drinks, fast-food enthusiasts can get a carbonated drink or a bottle of water.

The epic lunchtime offer is available every day from Monday to Friday until 3pm at any branch, drive thru or via their click and collect service.

Greggs also has a number of lunchtime combos to keep its customers happy.

Prices start from £2.85 for a sweet treat and hot drink, and £4.95 for a hot sandwich and wedges with a regular hot or cold drink.

Other options include, a cold sandwich and regular hot or cold drink from £3.75, pasta salad and a hot or cold drink from £3.75 and a pizza slice and cold drink from £3.75.

It comes as the popular pastie chain recently slashed the price of its popular pizza boxes.

Pizza boxes in Greggs are available from 11am and ususally cost £9.55 for six slices, but recently customers were rushing to pick them up at the discounted price of £9.55.
