Heinz has combined two popular flavours tomato and bacon to make a classic sauce with a fruity twist.

The smoky bacon-flavoured ketchup has hit Iceland shelves nationwide already and is due to be stocked in other supermarkets this week.

Ketchup lovers have already taken to Facebook to rave about the new sauce.

You’ll be able to find them in Sainsbury’s from April 10, Morrisons from April 22 and Tesco from April 29.

Asda shoppers will be able to get their hands on them in June.

The retail price has been set at £3.99 but prices may vary from store to store as the sauce is rolled out.

Heinz has been rolling out a range of different sauces over the past few months but they have not all been a hit.

The Heinz tomato pickle-flavoured ketchup launched in November last year and it divided fans.

Some fans described the flavour as “fundamentally wrong”, while others said it was “worth a try.”

This news came just weeks after Heinz revealed a tomato ketchup pasta sauce.

The sauce comes in a glass jar but matches the Heinz branding and costs £2.50 in Tesco.

It was met with outrage on social media, with several users apologising to Italians for the controversial recipe.

Defending itself, the brand said: “We know Brits often take to social media to air their view on this seemingly controversial use of ketchup and it might upset a few Italians.

“But right or wrong, here at Heinz, we think Ketchup goes with everything!”

Earlier last year we also revealed Heinz Beanz and sauage pizza had returned after being discontinued 20 years ago.

The iconic ’90s pizza costs £3.50 to buy exclusively from Iceland stores.
