Ontario Bradley House, 31 Arrested For Paul Pender Murder
Ontario Provincial Police have arrested Bradley House murder for a mysterious death at a Selkirk property.
A 911 emergency call was received at a residence on Smelsers Cove Lane, according to police.
Grimsby resident Paul Pender, 54, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Bradley has been charged with murder in the second degree. Later, he will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.
Pender was a long-time figure in Niagara’s winemaking scene, having spent more than 15 years, Tawse Winery’s director of viticulture and winemaking for more than 15 years. During Pender’s tenure at the vineyard, the winery received multiple honors, and Pender spearheaded a push toward environmentally friendly grape production.
He came late to the industry, having left a previous job as a carpenter in his 30s to pursue his passion of becoming a winemaker.
Pender has been the Director of Viticulture and Winemaking for Lincoln’s Tawse Estate and its sister vineyard Redstone Winery for the past 15 years.
His passing has elicited a flood of condolences from his coworkers and community.

Bradley House Charges -What happened To Him?
Bradley House has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Niagara winemaker Paul Pender.
His jail sentence is yet to be revealed. As this is a recent case, he will appear in court later to answer the charge.
The investigation was led by the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and in conjunction with the Ontario Chief Coroner’s Office, the Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit, and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit are presently investigating the event.
It is unclear what caused Pender’s death or whether the two knew each other.
The Town of Lincoln issued a statement lamenting the loss of one of the region’s “most beloved winemakers and industry trailblazers.”
