Dove’s Visible Glow Self-Tan Body Lotion has gone from £4.50 to £7 — a 56 per cent increase.

St.Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse went from £22 in 2022 to £33 this year — a rise of 50 per cent.

Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are £44 from £42 — more than the £25.51 for a Ryanair London Luton to Barcelona flight on August bank holiday.

“Wearing false tan is the best thing for you as it protects your skin but people may start using sunbeds after this.

“The increases are really disproportionate to inflation.

And household favourite Garnier has increased the price of its Summer Body Deep Gradual Tan Moisturiser Dark Sunkissed Look by 38 per cent to the new price of £8.50.
