One original verse of Roll With It states: “So sing a song with me, bang a gong with me.

“It’s quarter to four and there’s someone at the door.

“I don’t think that I can take much of this no more.”

There is an alternative chorus for Some Might Say, the band’s first No1.

The Manchester rock band found fame with the release of their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ in the same year Gallagher bought the pad.

Despite being early on in their career, he already had the band’s second album in mind.

One sketch shows a heart with an arrow through it and the words “Music + me 4ever”.

Noel also lists a top ten of albums and songs that influenced him including The Beatles, The Jam and David Bowie.

Dan Muscatelli-Hampson, at Merseyside-based Omega Auctions, said of the notebook: “It’s an insight into the creative process behind some of the most iconic songs in British music history.”

It is owned by a private collector and will be sold on November 28.
