  • The key workers who have helped get our country through this crisis have rightly been praised as heroes this year. But the truth is, they have always been heroes. They have always been the backbone of our country, of our communities and of our economy: the people we cannot survive without.

    Tory ministers have fallen over themselves to clap for our carers and salute their sacrifices, but their understanding is skin-deep at best, as their immigration bill dismissing care workers as “low skilled” and unwelcome just went to show.
