NINTENDO Switch members have fallen head over heels for a free 14-in-one retro game that Game Boy fans have “been waiting for”.

Last year, Nintendo bowed to public pressure and finally revived beloved Game Boy titles for Nintendo Switch players.

Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online is a free to download app that transports all of Game Boy’s golden oldies onto the Switch.

It currently includes 14 different games, but there are plans to add more.

The titles currently available include:

  • Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
  • Metroid Fusion
  • Golden Sun
  • Golden Sun: The Lost Age
  • WarioWare, Inc: Minigame Mania
  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  • Super Mario Advance
  • Fire Emblem
  • Kuru Kuru Kururin
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
  • Kirby & The Amazing Mirror

A game that is set to be included in the future is 2001 arcade racer F-Zero Maximum Velocity.

With the app, Switch users can play with up to four friends locally or online.

Although it’s only free for players with a Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack membership.

“It’s about time lol,” one Switch player said on X (formerly Twitter).

Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack membership

The Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack membership is a 12-month subscription that mirrors PS Plus and the Xbox Game Pass.

The package is £34.99 for a year, the equivalent of £2.92 per month, for one console.

While the Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack Family Membership is £59.99 a year, roughly £5.00 each month.
