The Pokémon World Championships have just started in Yokohama, Japan, with competitions in Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Go, Pokémon TCG and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
In honour of the competition, there are a number of events taking place in the world of Pokémon.
One of the first events that is taking place is a distribution for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
This rare distribution features the Mythical Pokémon Mew, the 151st Pokémon from Generation 1.
Mew is an incredibly rare Pokémon that is only distributed during special events, and is a fan favourite.
The distribution will end on Monday, September 18, 2023, so you still have plenty of time in order to grab it.
In order to download it, you need to navigate to Poké Portal in the menu and then click on Mystery Gift.
Select Redeem via Code and input the code GETY0URMEW.

The Mew comes with random stats, moves and tera-type, and you can only claim one for each game.
Well-known for being able to learn every move in the game, Mew has great utility.
The distribution event is to prepare players for the upcoming seven-star Mewtwo raids.
Mew is one of the best counters to the raid as datamine’s suggest it gains double its stats as soon as it enters battle.
As Mewtwo is one of the most powerful ‘mons in the entire series, this will be one of the most difficult raids ever.
This is why Pokémon is giving out the Mew as a perfect counter to these raids.
Make sure that you collect your new Pokémon before raids begin, so that you have the best chance to complete it.
The Mew comes at level 5, so you will need a lot of investment in order to get it ready for the fight.
