THE next place that will be stocking popular energy drink Prime Hydration has been revealed, but there is a catch.

Prime, founded by YouTube sensations KSI and Logan Paul, has become the first ‘viral drink’ and is in ever-increasing demand in UK shops.

The drink was originally carried exclusively by Asda and then by Aldi, but now London Stadium, home of West Ham United are getting in the action.

But there’s a catch – servers will remove the cap when you buy a bottle so you can’t take it home.

Yesterday the drink was sold at the Hammers’ match against Brentford.

And they are expected to restock before the team’s next game against Everton on January 21.

The stadium wrote on Twitter: “We are pleased to announce that Prime Hydrate will be available from concessions stands from today at London Stadium!

“PLEASE NOTE: for safety reasons lids will be removed during the match, it will be possible to purchase Prime from full time with lids.”

It comes as SPAR has announced that they will be selling it from January 6.

Oasis garage in Long Riston, Yorkshire announced that it was set to receive new stock as it is rolled out in shops across the nation.

A spokesperson for the garage said: “All SPAR stores UK-wide will start to receive stock from this Sunday onwards of PRIME as part of their phase 2 roll out across the UK. SPAR Long Riston will have stock from Jan 6th.”

However, the announcement came with the catch that only three of the possible seven flavours will be available.

Customers will only be able to get their hands on the lemon lime, ice pop and blue raspberry variants of the drink.

On top of this, bottles will be limited to two per customer, down from Asda and Aldi’s limit of one per flavour each.

They will also be more expensive than usual, selling for £2.99 instead of the standard retail price of £1.99.

On the other hand, that is still a bargain compared to the ludicrous prices on the online resale market, with a single 500ml bottle on sale for £10,000 on Ebay (with free delivery though).

It comes after supermarkets have seen stampedes of customers and parents wrestling kids out of the way to get their hands on a bottle.

The drink sold out “in seconds” when it hit shelves in Aldi this week and has to be rationed to one of each flavour per customer.

One Aldi staff member told PlymouthLive that their store had sold 360 bottles in under six minutes.

Meanwhile, shocking footage emerged yesterday of adults pushing young children out of the way at an Aldi in Sydenham, East London to try and get hold of just a few bottles.

Prime was announced by its celeb creators on social media to their combined 140 million followers in January 2022 and promoted around a string of high-profile celebrity boxing matches.

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, is one of the UK’s most famous YouTube creators. He has also dabbled in celebrity boxing and music.

Logan Paul is an American internet celebrity who found fame, along with his brother Jake, through often controversial online videos.

His other ventures have included work as an actor, podcaster, boxer and WWE wrestler.

Paul also owns the most expensive Pokemon card in the world.

The duo, themselves long-time boxing rivals, came together to launch the brand after their final fight in 2019.

During the live stream, the pair said they wanted to “rival the biggest companies on earth” with their products – including “PepsiCoke, Gatorade and Powerade”.
