HIGH street clothing giant Next has revealed a major shake-up to its infamous Boxing Day sale this year.
The Boxing Day sale at Next is one of the most important dates of the year in the shopping calendar, with customers historically queuing from the early hours to bag a bargain.

If you’re a Nextpay customer, you can already get access to the deals.
But non-members will have to wait.
Next didn’t participate in Black Friday this year, but it looks like it’s preparing for a bumper Boxing Day sales event.
And this year, Next’s eagerly anticipated offers have an added twist.
Because Next stores are shut on Boxing Day, in-store offers will only be available from December 27, meaning bargain-hunters will have to wait even longer.
A Next spokesperson told us: “Our Sale starts online on Friday December 24th and our in-store sales starts on Monday December 27th at 6am, in the majority of our UK stores.”

Stores in Scotland and the Republic of Ireland are not closed on December 26 though, so their Boxing Day sales begin on the day itself.
In England, Next is not alone in keeping its stores shut after Christmas, as many retailers have said they want to give their staff an extra day off after a hard year.
Other high street stalwarts leaving their doors shut on Boxing Day include Aldi, Iceland, The Entertainer and Marks & Spencer.
You also won’t find any Sainsbury’s, Poundland and Home Bargains stores open on the day.

Meanwhile there are concerns January could be a slow shopping month as supply issues continue to hit.
Of course, that doesn’t mean there will be no bargains to be had on Boxing Day.
Eager shoppers will find plenty of other chains on the high street will be sticking to tradition.
Many retailers will also have sales online for those who want to shop from the comfort of their own home.
Some firms including Made have started their sales already.
