The late actor stars opposite Viola Davis in Oscar-tipped August Wilson adaptation Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the late actor Chadwick Boseman’s final movie, Oscar-tipped August Wilson adaptation Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

The Black Panther star, who died in August at 43, has already been suggested as a contender for a posthumous Oscar for his performance in the film which tells the story of “Mother of the Blues” Ma Rainey, played by Viola Davis, and her battle for control with her white producer, while recording an album at the end of her career. Boseman plays ambitious trumpeter Levee.
