Aldi’s Easter-themed Kevin the Carrot toys has got customers buzzing

Shoppers can pick up a sheep or lamb-themed version for £3.99 but there’s limited stock so you’ll have to be quick.

Remember that Aldi doesn’t do delivery so you’ll have to head to your nearest branch to pick one up.

You can find your nearest store by using the retailer’s online locator tool.

Aldi shoppers have already caught wind the toy is making its way to shelves – and it’s safe to say they’re buzzing.

Posting on the Money Saver Bargain Hunters Facebook page, one said: “Need to go to Aldi!”

Another, positively fizzing, said: “Yes!!! Too cute!!!”

Meanwhile, a third said “know where I’m going today” and a fourth, posting a photo of two of the toys after buying them, joked “a carrot is for life, not just for Christmas”.

It’s not the first time Aldi fans have been whipped into a frenzy over a Kevin-themed toy.

The retailer, which currently runs over 1,000 UK stores and plans to open 500 more in the coming years, sent shoppers into a meltdown when it launched new Kevin the Carrot and William Conker toys last Christmas.

In 2022, some shoppers were found queuing up outside their local branches at 4am in a bid to snap up Kevin toys first.

I tried Lindt bunny dupes from major retailers – I could eat a whole bargain version in one go and it’s half the price

Others were forced into an online queue on the Aldi website.

And in previous years, even fights have broken out in aisles as parents fought to get their hands on them.

How to save money at Aldi

Keep an eye out for any red sticker products, which staff add to items when they’ve been reduced in price.

Aldi usually adds these to products in the morning so you should head to your nearest branch as early as possible for the best discounts.

Keep an eye out for slashed-price fruits and vegetables as well – the retailer tends to reduce six items every two weeks to “silly low” prices, according to deals expert Tom Church.

How can I save on my supermarket shop?

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

Get ahead of the crowd by signing up to Aldi’s newsletter and following the retailer on social media as well.

It often announces upcoming deals via the two channels so you can snap up the best prices before anyone else.

The retailer most recently launched a KFC-inspired box that it claims is 62% cheaper than the chicken joint.
