The winning numbers were 01, 13, 17, 37, 44 and the bonus Life Ball was 04.

Camelot’s Senior winners’ adviser Andy Carter said: “Wow, we have a top prize winner on Set For Life – they can now celebrate winning £10,000 every month for 30 years.

“Players are being urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim tonight’s fantastic Set For Life top prize.”

On Monday, 37 people also matched four numbers and the Life Ball which meant they received £250 each.

Mr Carted added: “Thanks to National Lottery players, more than £30 million is generated every week for good causes across the country.

“This supports everything from local projects making a difference where you live, to our nations’ athletes at the recent Commonwealth Games.”

Another oblivious Brit is currently sitting on £7 million, a fortune that has gone unclaimed for four months.

The ticket was bought in WolverhamptonWest Midlands, and anyone who bought tickets in that area is being asked to check, and double-check, theirs.

One man claimed he had won £171 million in the EuroMillions draw last month, however family and friends soon discovered things were not as they seemed.

Rob Strain boasted to his family and even those at the local shop that he had scooped the third biggest National Lottery win in the September jackpot draw.

The 33-year-old went so far as taking pictures of himself viewing mansions and shopping for luxury cars.

One family member said: “When we heard he was asking a woman in the shop if he could hire her caravan for two weeks to hide out, we knew it was a scam. What lottery winner does that?”

However, before the out-of-work roofer’s scheme was uncovered, he had managed to con several people out of money.
