A MUM was left fuming after her neighbour left a “petty” note about the state of her garden.

The note described it as “Steptoe’s Yard” due to the mess from a trailer – and said it was ruining the road.

The note read: “How much longer do we have to look across at your Steptoe’s yard on the front of your house this use[d] to be such a nice road.”

Mum Georgia Washy from New Holland, Lincolnshire, took to social media to share her outrage, explaining she had left items in her yard due to an emergency.

She said she recently moved her horses over concern for their safety and had nowhere else to put their equipment.

Georgia posted her response on Facebook to set the record straight.

She wrote: “To the absolutely numpty in new Holland that left this with no indication of where they are from… knocked on doors with no response.

“If you’re regarding to the trailer in the front with bits and bobs in, I had to move my horses literally OVERNIGHT because they were on land that essentially was poisoning them and if they’d have stayed longer perhaps died.

“The things in the trailer are my horses belongings. I’ve only found them a place to settle this Saturday just gone.”

She also revealed she works full time and has a baby, adding: “I can’t work any more of a miracle than I do.

“Maybe consider that people have things going on before leaving anonymous, passive aggressive messages.

“Oh and if there’s a problem, MOVE HOUSE. Or get a grip and talk to me face to face.”

Others on Facebook shared Georgia’s outrage, with many taking to the comments section to voice their opinions.

One said: “How Rude. Ignore it.”

A second added: “Leave it for as long as you can I am sure that will cheer them up.”

A third chimed in: “Bear it no heed. It is trivial and not worth any energy expenditure.”

The mum was shocked when she first found the note.

Georgia said: “My heart just dropped, I couldn’t believe that neighbours would be so petty. Especially to wait until I was at work – they could’ve just knocked.”

She added: “The sycamore saplings that were in the horse’s field were very dangerous. One of our horses became ill, but thankfully we caught them in time. That’s why we had to move them in an emergency hence the things outside the house.”

It’s not the first time neighbours have caused uproar.

A horrified cat owner was told her pet “will disappear” during a dispute about her feline’s behaviour with a neighbour.

The threat was on a hand-written note posted through her door by a local resident as the feud between them escalated.

Meanwhile, a “petty” neighbour seemed to mow just their half of a shared strip of grass amid an alleged feud.

Plus, a couple who blew £130,000 suing their neighbour over a loft extension won the right to fight their case again.

Liz Peck and her husband Adam were furious after neighbour Debbie Ranford constructed her extension inches too close to their £1.5m home in south east London.
