A MOM claims she has been left blindsided after her neighbors complained about her son’s treehouse.

Jill Maloney and her husband moved to Portsmouth two years ago and built the play area for their nine-year-old son.

The family was left “completely blindsided” when Mark Moses and his wife, who live directly behind the Maloneys, said they had a problem with the treehouse.

Moses told NBC10 that its size “dominates the field of view in our backyard”.

Maloney said that her family didn’t have any intention of “making enemies” with their neighbors.

She said: “All we wanted to do was have a place for a child to play.”

The Portsmouth Board of Adjustment says the treehouse, which is 25 feet in length and has a 168-square-foot platform, needs to be moved to comply with zoning regulations.

It has to be moved at least eight feet off the property line.

Contractor John Raczek said: “It’s probably going to be the same size. So, I’m not sure how that’s going to change anything.”

The Sun has approached the Portsmouth Zoning Board of Adjustment for comment.

Meanwhile, a homeowner claimed their neighbors stole water from their backyard tap.

Reddit user u/AverageHorribleHuman claimed their neighbors live in low-quality housing, alleging that it’s likely they don’t have running water.

One person suggested that the homeowner should get a child-proof lock for the outdoor spigot after the author of the thread asked for advice.

Another recommended that the homeowner should call code enforcement and the police for trespassing.

We reported a desperate homeowner has begged for advice about her neighbor’s barking dog.

The frustrated Reddit user explained they have gone to drastic lengths to try and get rid of it, but nothing seems to have worked.

User @omglifeisnotokay said they have “already called police, animal control (fined), left notes, and I occasionally have screamed out the window for them to shut the dog up.”

Despite taking action, they claimed the white Maltipoo “barks at everything”.

Redditors online suggested the homeowner should call the cops and animal control, while others suggested they should confront their neighbor.

And, we revealed the trap a woman set up to catch her neighbor who allegedly kept stealing packages.
