ASDA shoppers have rushed to fill their baskets with a bizarre fruit that “tastes like white chocolate”.
The sweet treat has caused a stir among shoppers who have been left impressed by the unusual flavour.

A bargain hunter has spotted Rose Strawberries selling at the huge retailer.
The user took to the Facebook group ‘Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Group’, where foodie Brits post newly released treats, sales and fan-favourite foods.
The savvy shopper said: “Asda offers Rose Pearl Strawberries for just £2.50!
“Dive into the sweetness of these unique strawberries, perfect for adding a special touch to any meal.”

The little berries come in a pack of 250g and are grown in Spain.
But their unconventional white colour has left many users confused – with one saying: “these look bizarre.”
The post has already gathered dozens of likes from fellow money-savers.

But this is not the first time a supermarket releases a bizarre fruit.
Shoppers went wild for a white chocolate-tasting fruit that’s returned to Marks & Spencer.
The not-so-naughty treat – a white pearl strawberry – was released exclusively in M&S last year and shoppers are ecstatic after seeing that they’ve made a return.
The fruit is part of a new range of fresh produce with unique flavours – including Cotton Candy Grapes and Baby Kiwi Berries.
The odd-sounding fruit gets its unusual taste through its development method but has not been infused with artificial flavours.
All three types of grapes are grown in Spain, but the cotton candy ones are also grown in Brazil and South Africa depending on the time of the year.
It comes as Brits are spurring on their fellow shoppers to bag themselves a huge box of Cadbury Creme Eggs at a bargain price.
A major supermarket is stocking the Easter favourite at a huge discount as one shopper urged “run, don’t walk”.

With Easter already here, there isn’t long left to grab a bargain on your favourite chocolate.
Retailers have been battling it out to offer the best deals on the sweet treats since the start of the year.
Tesco has slashed the cost of 22 of its extra large Easter eggs including many Cadbury varieties.
For example, Clubcard customers can snap up a 232g Cadbury Dairy Milk Twirl Easter Egg for £3.50.
But if you’re not signed up for the loyalty scheme, you’ll have to pay a fiver.
A number of Easter Eggs at Asda were reduced to 60p from original prices of £1.25 and £1.50.
Despite Asda axing its deal offering 60p eggs on March 10, it’s still the cheapest place to buy a 96g Freddo Easter egg.
It comes with a small egg and selection of iconic Freddo chocolates inside and is on sale for £1.25.
Asda is selling a 190g KitKat Chunky egg box for £3, the same as Tesco and Ocado.
Meanwhile, Morrisons and Iceland are the next cheapest option, selling it for £3.25 and £3.50 respectively.
Elsewhere, Sainsbury’s has various reductions on Easter eggs for Nectar card shoppers.
Morrisons are also offering reductions and special bundles on Easter eggs and treats.
