M&S has also slashed the price of the matching dachshund mugs to by £8.50 – from £12.50 to £4.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper said: “Chesterfield M&S this morning. Luckily for me my pal fetched these for me while I was at work.”

Bargain hunters were quick to comment – tagging their friends so they could also see the bargain find.

One social media user wrote: “Omg I need these. I wonder if I’d be lucky enough to get some.”

While another added: “Omg they’re the cutest.”

The set contains four dinner plates, side plates and bowls made of white porcelain.

M&S describes the set as durable, resistant to cutlery marks and dishwasher safe.

But, the discounted kitchen essential is only available in-store, and shoppers will need to be quick to get it while stocks last.

The set is currently out of stock on the M&S website, so you’ll need to visit your nearest store if you want to buy it.

You can find your closest M&S using the store locator tool on its website.

It’s possible that the item might not be available in all stores – so you might want to call ahead to check and avoid a wasted trip.

Retailers often introduce big discounts on old stock to make way for new items at the start of the season.

But you should always have a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.

We found a plain 12-piece dining set on sale at M&S for £15 – but the reduced deal is still the cheapest.

Dunelm is also selling similar sets, but they are priced must higher at £22.

The M&S deal is the cheapest we’ve seen online for this type of kitchen essential.

How to save money at M&S

If you look closely, you’ll find a collection of designer perfume dupes at M&S for a fraction of the cost.

They’ve been spotted for as much as £90 less than the original branded version.

M&S is famous for its range of unique and delicious treats like Percy Pigs, Colin the Caterpillar cakes and extravagant Christmas desserts.

If you’re looking to cater for a special occasion, M&S is definitely the place to go.

Do keep in mind you can find some dupes elsewhere. For example, Aldi sells its own version of Percy Pig – Leo The Lion.

Though they might not be cheaper, so it’s worth checking.

You can always find the nicest selection of flowers at M&S, and many bouquets come in a lovely little box.

Especially as it nears the end of the day, you might spot a few different varieties at discounted prices as staff look to clear stock.
