M&S are offering chocolate lovers the perfect blend of exciting new flavours – as customers rush to fill their trolleys.

The Egg-spresso Easter Egg is an “indulgent” mix of mouthwatering salted caramel and a classic Espresso Martini cocktail.

Made by The Marksologist, fans were delighted to see their blend of chocolate and coffee hit the shelves.

In the announcement on Facebook, M&S penned: “You don’t want to miss this!

“That’s right, we’ve got the ultimate Easter Egg for any coffee lover. Chocolate AND Espresso Martini in one!

“Get your hands on our indulgent caramel & coffee flavoured milk chocolate egg with a can of the Marksologist Salted Caramel Espresso Martini Cocktail – a match made in heaven!

“Pick up yours (or a fellow caffeine enthusiasts) from M&S – Bolton Middlebrook today!”

Eager fans have been sharing the post to family and friends, as others hailed the tasty creation with likes.

M&S are offering a wide range of fancy Easter eggs, from pink Himalayan sea salt flakes to a nutty egg made with piedmont paste, chopped hazelnuts and pistachios.

A 72 per cent dark chocolate treat is also up for grabs, paired with dark chocolate torte truffles.

For a taste of luxury, shoppers could also opt for a creamy Belgian milk chocolate egg and Champagne truffles.

If you are buying for kids, the supermarket giant also stocks Choccy Rocky Road eggs – and each come with a cute chocolate bunny inside.

PRICES SLASHED

It comes as a major supermarket has slashed the price of its Easter eggs with deals starting from £2.

Sainsbury’s reduced the price of some of its large Easter eggs to just £2 for all Nectar card holders in the run-up to the holiday.

Top offers on delicious branded eggs available include:

  • Cadbury Mini Eggs Large Shell Egg 193g – now £2 (£3.25 without Nectar)
  • Smarties Large Egg 188g – now £2 (£3.25 without Nectar)
  • Celebrations Large Egg, 220g – now £2 (£3.25 without Nectar)
  • Galaxy Minstrels Large Egg, 234g – now £2 (£3.25 without Nectar)
  • Maltesers Large Egg, 200g – now £2 (£3.25 without Nectar)

Meanwhile, a range of the chocolatey Easter gifts at Asda have been reduced to 60p from original prices of £1.25 and £1.50.

Some of the treats included in the deal are: Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo 96g, Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons Chocolate Easter Egg 98g, Cadbury Mini Eggs 97g, Maltesers Milk Chocolate Medium Easter Egg 127g, and Cadbury White Buttons Egg 98g.

The Milkybar White Chocolate Egg 65g, Bluey Milk Chocolate Easter Egg and Bar 62g, and Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel Nibbles 86g have also been reduced to 60p.

Shoppers can only buy the cheaper eggs – most of which are hollow and contain smaller treats, such as Mini Eggs, Freddo heads, and Caramel Nibbles – in store.

MORE EASTER TREATS

Fans have also gone wild for “lush” new hot cross buns with a heavenly chocolate twist.

Aldi shoppers hailed the Easter-themed treat as packets flew off the shelves and quickly sold out.

Nutoka Hot Cross Buns have been inspired by the iconic hazelnut Nutella spread.

In Aldi’s Specially Selected range, there are also banoffee hot cross buns and white chocolate with raspberry hot cross buns.

And, if Biscoff is your thing you’re in for a treat too with their caramelised biscuit-flavoured pack.

Cheapest place to buy Cadbury Easter eggs this week

  • Tesco has slashed the cost of 22 of its extra large Easter eggs including a number of Cadbury varieties.
  • Morrisons has also slashed the price of a number of its larger Cadbury Easter eggs to £3.50.
  • Ocado is running a two for £5 deal on a number of Cadbury varieties including Crunchie, Creme Egg and Twirl flavours.
  • Meanwhile, Asda has a four for £10 deal on the same three eggs and a number of others.
