Surgeries resume only 24 hours after MP killed while meeting constituents in Leigh-on-Sea

It was business as usual as MPs held constituency surgeries as normal less than 24 hours after the death of Sir David Amess.

Amess was killed while meeting constituents in Leigh-on-Sea on Friday, five and a half years after the Labour MP Jo Cox was killed by a far-right extremist.
