MORRISONS has slashed the price of some of the most popular Easter egg brands, including fan favourites like the Creme Egg.

And although Pancake Day is next in line for our attention, Easter is a close second – after all, it’s never too early to stock up on chocolate.

Morrisons shoppers will find six top Easter eggs from Cadburys and Nestle on offer including Creme Egg, Mini Eggs, Dairy Milk Buttons, Smarties, Rolo and Aero.

They have all been slashed from £1.50 to just 75p, which is a saving of 50%.

Each egg weighs between 118g to 138g, making them slightly smaller than pthers in the seasonal aisle.

The most expensive egg the store has to offer is Lindt’s milk chocolate Gold Bunny egg, costing £12 and weighing 360g in comparison.

The offer is live from today and due to run online until March 1 – so shoppers with a sweet tooth will need to be quick.

To find your nearest Morrisons, you can use the store checker on the supermarket’s website.

But note, each customer can only add a maximum of two promotional eggs per shop.

Delivery costs apply – so do factor these in – and you need to spend at least £40 before you can check out. 

The food giant isn’t the first to cut prices on its Easter range.

Tesco previously slashed the price of four of its Easter eggs to 75p, but only customers with a clubcard could enjoy the deals.

The offer is now finished, with the cheapest chocolate eggs in Tesco currently selling for £1.

At Morrisons, you don’t need a loyalty card to get the deal.

Asda’s cheapest Easter eggs on sale currently cost £3, and Sainsbury’s cheapest chocolate eggs came in at £1 when we checked. 

Meanwhile, some Morrisons and Asda shoppers were shocked by the new petrol pump charge and warned to avoid it.
