Revolut said it was ‘thoroughly’ probing a fiasco that involved its former UK head accidentally messaging a customer to say he would be waiting for him ‘in the garden with my shotgun’.
James Radford, who left the UK’s most valuable fintech firm for unrelated reasons last month, inadvertently sent the message after receiving several complaints to his personal mobile.
The irate customer sent a slew of text messages and voicemails to Radford, after their Revolut Business account was frozen, the Telegraph first reported.

The £26billion financial services group has faced several setbacks amid its two-year battle for a British banking licence.
Radford, who was the head of Revolut NewCo UK and key to the platform’s fight for a licence, had meant to text someone else: ‘Don’t worry, I will be sitting in the garden with my shotgun waiting for him’.
It is understood this was regarding a suggestion the individual could approach Radford in person.
A Revolut spokesperson said: ‘We take allegations seriously and are investigating thoroughly.’
