Defence secretary Ben Wallace also says he will explore ‘decolonising’ schools’ teaching of first world war

The defence secretary has apologised for Britain’s failure to properly commemorate tens of thousands of black and Asian soldiers who died serving the country , and pledged to explore “decolonising” schools’ teaching of the first world war

Ben Wallace said “historic failings” had been identified in committee’s inquiry set up by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC).
