MANY games are getting into the festive season, and Minecraft is giving away maps and skins every day in order to celebrate.

Minecraft New Year Celebration has just begun, and like Fortnite’s Winterfest, and Epic Games Store, free things are being given away every day.

It started on December 20, 2022, and will last until January 24, 2023, giving you over a month of free things.

Here’s what’s up for grabs in Minecraft and how you can claim it.

Minecraft New Year Celebration: Lucky’s Minigame Mayhem

The first map for the event has now been released, and you can claim it right now.

Made by creator LogDotZip, the map features a number of minigames, and creative mobs.

You can morph into a Warden and collect shadows, or ride a dragon through a valley.

This will likely not be the only free map given away during the event. Last year, Mojang gave away five new maps as part of the event.

Minecraft New Year Celebration: How to claim free Minecraft skins and maps

Claiming the daily rewards is very easy to do. Open up the main menu in Minecraft and make sure you’re signed into your account.

Then go to the Marketplace and you’ll see a banner for the event at the top of the screen.

If you click on this, you’ll be shown the daily rewards, and you can click the ones you want to receive.

Once you click “claim day” the items will appear in your account.

You’ll have until the end of the event on January 24, 2023, to claim all the rewards, so don’t worry if you miss a day, you can claim it later.
