Luckily tech experts have revealed a genius hack to avoid browsing through low-rated films and watch the best ones.
Duo John and Nicole Schmoll took to YouTube to share hidden settings users can use to “amplify their Netflix account”.
The content creators said: “When you’re watching Netflix on a computer there are a number of free Chrome extension you can use to enhance your viewing experience.”
Viewers watching their favourite shows on Netflix can sometimes know what others outside the streaming platform thought about the show.

They added: “Would you like to add IMDB ratings for films and shows in to your Netflix viewing? There is a Chrome extension for that.
“Enabling it will automatically display IMDB ratings in a little yellow circle in the top right corner of titles.
“And right next to the rotten tomatoes ratings in the show details view.”
IMDB collects hundreds of thousands of viewer ratings on every movie and TV show to give you a clear idea of what’s good.

The volume of ratings on the site mean it easily trumps Netflix’s own system, which is based on ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ votes given by viewers.
You can add these ratings to Netflix’s website using a Google Chrome extension called IMDb Ratings for Netflix.
All you need to do is to install the Chrome extension to the streaming website.
Once in the extension’s menu, you can customise the bar and add other apps – including IMDB ratings and Rotten Tomatoes.
The feature will link you directly to a show or film review from the websites.
Once installed, ratings from 1 to 10 will appear in a pop-up in the right-hand corner of a thumbnail when you hover over a title.
It comes as Netflix revealed details about seven new titles coming to its little-known gaming service next year.
The streaming giant now has over 80 games available at no extra cost to subscribers and plans keep releasing more every week.
