“Isn’t letting me upload anything at the moment,” said one person on Downdetector.

“cant upload any more stories,” wrote another.

“can anyone upload posts? or is that just a me problem?” commented a third.

Issues come on heels of another

Instagram last went down on April Fool’s Day.

That most recent outage comes just three weeks after Instagram last experienced issues.

Actions to take when Instagram is down

Here are the steps to take when Instagram is down:

  • Force quit Instagram by sliding up and then closing out the app
  • See if it reloads
  • Check your connection
  • Search on Twitter to see if others are complaining about the same thing
  • Wait for updates

Checking if Instagram is working

Instagram’s official X/Twitter page is a good first port of call.

The company’s InstagramComms page usually tweets out any information about the latest issues and outages.

Another thing people tend to do is tweet about problems themselves.

So, have a search on Twitter – that way you’ll at least know whether it’s something only you are experiencing or something much bigger.
