The beloved item was axed back in 2020 and ever since fans have been crying out for it to come back.

Now their prayers have been answered because not only is it making a comeback, but it’s also had some work done as well.

The new Breakfast Wrap will come with two free-range round eggs stuffed inside, which were previously folded.

Maccies diners will be able to get their hands on the wrap from Wednesday, February 7.

The fast food chain axed Breakfast Wraps and Breakfast Bagels from restaurants in March 2020.

And foodies praying for their return were left distraught in January 2022 when it was confirmed the items would not be returning for good.

Now, almost every time McDonald’s updates its menu the comments on social media are flooded with fans begging for the wrap to be brought back.

One wrote: “Please bring back the McDonald’s Breakfast Wrap in the UK. You don’t know what I’d do for it.”

Another said: “How many signatures would you require to bring the Breakfast Wrap back?”

A third commented: “The Breakfast Wrap was my all-star! Bring that back!”

While a fourth posted: “Still waiting for my Breakfast Wrap to come back. McDonald’s is the only firm which doesn’t listen to what the public wants.”

And a fifth wrote: “Bring back the Breakfast Wrap. Best breakfast item you ever had!”

“All I want is a Breakfast Wrap!!!,” cried another.

The new Breakfast Wrap includes a pork sausage patty, two round free-range eggs, and a slice of bacon.

It also includes a crispy potato rosti and cheese and is served in a tortilla wrap with either tomato ketchup or brown sauce.

The returning favourite will be available from £4.39 on its own, or £5.89 for a meal with a drink and a hashbrown.

But do remember that prices do vary from restaurant to restaurant so make sure you double check before you pay.

It will be available in restaurants from 5am to 11am.

Fans will need to be quick though because the breakfast snack is only around for a limited time – although if it’s popular it could be made permanent.

The wrap will be joining a whole host of other breakfast items including the iconic McMuffins and Cheesy Bacon Flatbreads.

Fans of the fast food chain will know that it usually updates its regular menu, which is served from 11am daily, every six weeks or so.

But the breakfast menu doesn’t see much action by comparison.

Its latest addition was the Mighty McMuffin which first debuted in November 2022.

The stacked snack then made a return in March last year and has been on the menu ever since.

It comes with sausage, egg, double bacon, cheese, and ketchup or brown sauce.

McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

It used to switch to the lunchtime menu at the earlier time of 10.30am, but bosses added an extra 30 minutes to the breakfast offering two years ago.

Restaurants that are normally open 24 hours a day start serving breakfast from 5am.

Every other restaurant kicks off the day with the breakfast menu at their normal opening times.

You can find out where your nearest branch is and what time it opens using the store locator tool.

Elsewhere, the lunch and dinner menu has recently also had an upgrade.

The fast-food giant has also brought back what fans called the “nicest burger from McDonald’s ever”.

Maccies has brought back the much-loved Steakhouse Stack burger as part of the shakeup.

It’s not just the burger that’s back, the Fajita Chicken wrap, which was first introduced to menus in January 2020, also made a comeback after over three years.

Cheesy Garlic Bites are also back, which last featured on menus in August 2023 after launching for the first time in 2021.

The new items will be available for six weeks until February 15.

How can I save on my McDonald’s order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald’s.

But always keep in mind menu prices can vary across different restaurants – so perhaps check prices online first to avoid getting a surprise.

You can get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the My McDonald’s app – it’s free to download and you’ll only need a few quick details to get set up.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise, you’ll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you’ll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.

How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
