McDonald’s Monopoly is back after being delayed by the pandemic

McDonald’s customers can win prizes by collecting stickers which come with certain menu items.

There are three ways to bag a prize – instant win, collect to win and online.

Instant wins can be claimed straight away in store with just one sticker.

Online win stickers come with a code that you can redeem on the McDonald’s website.

Collect to win resembles traditional Monopoly the most as players need to find the street stickers with matching colours.

For example, you could collect Piccadilly, Leicester Square and Coventry Street to win one of the huge prizes. These include a Mini Electric Car and £2K holiday with TUI.

To win the top prize of £100,000 cash you’ll have to collect both blue stickers: Park Lane and Mayfair.

However, players be warned as restaurant managers can limit the number of stickers per order if they suspect you’re buying food you won’t eat in order to collect more Monopoly pieces.

If you’re unsure where

You can find your nearest McDonald’s restaurant using the chain’s store locator.

McDonald’s Monopoly was cancelled previously because of Covid and returned in 2021.

We’ve rounded up the top tips and tricks to boost your chances of winning.

Has anyone actually won the big prizes? We explain how it all works.

Three stickers

  • Big Tasty – £4.79/£6.29 meal
  • Big Tasty with bacon – £5.19/£6.69 meal
  • Chicken selects (three or five) – £3.89 for three/£5.49 meal, £4.69 for five/£6.29 meal
  • Chicken BBQ Smokehouse – £4.99/£6.39 meal
  • Chicken Legend – £4.29/£5.69 meal
  • Big Flavour wrap -£2.99/£4.59 meal
  • Soft drink – 99p medium
  • Caramel iced frappe- £2.29
  • Frozen strawberry lemonade – £2.09
  • Chicken and bacon salad- £3.39/£3.89 meal
  • Chicken salad – £2.99/ £3.49 meal

Two stickers

  • Fries – medium or large – £1.19/£1.49
  • Mozzarella dippers- £1.79
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate McFlurry -£1.49
  • Cadbury Caramel McFlurry – £1.49

How many stickers will you get with a meal?

If you decide to purchase a meal, this will add a drink and a side to your burger or wrap and you’ll collect more pieces.

Customers who purchase fries as a side will receive an extra two stickers.

If you buy the healthier options of a side salad, vegetable bag or fruit bag you’ll receive an extra three stickers.

A drink will get you a further three stickers.

For example, if you order a Big Mac meal with fries and a drink, you would collect five stickers in total.

That’s because a Big Mac doesn’t come with any Monopoly stickers, but the fries and drink do.

And if you opted for a Big Tasty with Bacon, a side salad and a drink, you would bag nine game pieces.
