MCDONALD’S is launching a brand new game giving food fans the chance to win free cash and food.

The Monopoly-style game will be available on stickers on medium and large soft drinks and milkshakes.

The fast food chain said the Winning Sips game will start on Wednesday, March 29.

Customers who take part are in with a chance of winning free cash, free food or even free exclusive McDonald’s merch.

The value of the prizes range from a couple of pounds up to £10,000.

Maccies has also confirmed that the popular McDonald’s Monopoly will be back again this year – but has not confirmed a date.

Last time McDonald’s Monopoly ran from September to October 2022 and around the same time in 2021.

But the new game Winning Sips is launching within days, giving fast food fans a new opportunity to win.

It will work in a similar way with customers getting a cup that comes with a sticker.

You then peel it off to see if you’ve won a prize instantly, or an app play code you collect.

You’ll need to have the app to enter the code and see if you’ve won a prize.

It’s free to download the app wither from the Google Android or iPhone app stores.

You won’t collect game pieces in the same way as Monopoly though, and there are no game pieces for Winning Sips on food.

Here’s what you need to know about the game including how to play and prizes.

How do I enter McDonald’s Winning Sips?

To enter the competition customers will need to purchase any medium or large soft drink – these include:

  • Coca-Cola Zero Sugar
  • Diet Coke
  • Sprite Zero
  • Coca-Cola Classic
  • Fanta Orange
  • Oasis
  • Chocolate milkshake
  • Strawberry milkshake
  • Banana milkshake
  • Vanilla milkshake

Game pieces are scheduled to be stuck on medium and large carbonated soft drink and milkshake cups at McDonald’s from 05:00 on March 29 until 23:59 on April 25, 2023.

They’ll then need to peel the sticker on the cup to reveal an instant win prize or app play game piece.

To take part in the app play game customers will need to download the McDonald’s app on their smartphone.

When customers peel an app play game sticker, they will need to scan their code in the fast food chain’s app to be in with the chance of winning. 

You’ll be limited to inputting eight-game entries into the McDonald’s app so don’t waste your money by buying more drinks than this.

Customers then have until May 9, 2023 to claim their free prize.

Customers could win cash and there’s a host of free money up for grabs:

  • £200 Cash
  • £100 Cash
  • £50 Cash
  • £20 Cash
  • £10 Cash
  • £5 Cash

Customers who peel to play will also be automatically entered into a prize draw for the opportunity to receive one of ten cash prizes of a whopping £10,000.

Others may win free food which includes:

  • Sausage & Egg McMuffin
  • Hash brown
  • Porridge
  • Big Mac
  • 6 Chicken McNuggets
  • Cheeseburger
  • McPlant
  • Fruit Bag
  • McFlurry
  • Apple Pie
  • Sugar Donut
  • Regular McCafé hot drink
  • Medium Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar
  • Medium Milkshake

But McDonald’s is also giving away limited-edition merch including:

How can I save money at McDonald’s?

Signing up to the My McDonald’s app means you can keep on top of the latest deals and offers.

The app will allow you to browse the latest menu available at McDonald’s – you can download it for free via Google Play or the App Store.

It works anywhere you have internet, so you can look up what’s on offer while you’re out and about, or at home.

Every Monday, the app has a host of deals available to cash in on.

Researching and comparing prices at your local McDonald’s branches could also save you some cash on your order.

Menu prices can vary in restaurants just a couple of miles apart – so choose your branch wisely.

Our research found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants that are just two miles apart from each other.

You can bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a McDonald’s app user.

Remember to log your date of birth in the app – otherwise you could miss out on free food or drinks.

The birthday offers are usually in line with the McDonald’s Mondays offers, discounts and deals.

If you’re a Big Mac fan, you can get the burger along with a side of fries for just £1.99.

To get the offer you need to fill out a quick survey feedback survey after a previous visit to redeem the offer.

All you need is an old McDonald’s receipt from a previous trip no longer than 60 days ago.

A 12 digit code will be printed on the proof of purchase, and you can enter this McDonald’s Food for Thought website to need to fill out a quick survey regarding your recent trip.

You’ll then receive a five digit code which is your voucher for the £1.99 offer, so jot it down.
