MCDONALD’S is giving away FREE food to footie fans to ease England’s disappointing Euro 2020 defeat.

Hungry – or hungover – Brits can bag a code for up to £10 off McDelivery orders placed through the My McDonald’s app.

McDonald’s is giving away discount codes to fans on Twitter

To get the code, you need to reply to the McDonald’s UK social media team on Twitter.

In a tweet, the chain wrote: “We are still proud and we still believe. (And a tired admin with some McDelivery codes, #FancyAMcDonalds anyone?)”

Customers who get a reply from the Maccies team will be given a code in their direct messages on Twitter, which can be applied at the checkout.

A tenner will then automatically be knocked off the bill.

There’s no limit on how many codes will be dished out but it’s probably worth getting in sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.

The codes can be used throughout the day – so you can get £10 off for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

They can only be used once though, and if your order is more than £10 then you’ll have to fork out for the difference.

You’ll need to factor in the delivery charges too, or else you’ll need to stump up some of your own cash to pay the bill.

The burger chain uses Uber Eats or Just Eat to run it’s delivery service and costs around £3 per order, although this depends on the time, day and how far away you are from a branch.

The codes can be used on McDonald’s orders placed on Uber Eats but not ones placed through Just Eat.

You also can’t used them to slash costs on in-branch or drive thru orders.

The fast food chain has also given anyone registered to the app with an NHS email address a free Chicken Legend today, worth £3.99, according to BurgerLad.

These can also be claimed through the My McDonald’s app.

If you’ve not already signed up to the app, it’s free to download on android and Apple products via Google Play or the App Store.

You’ll need to include a few personal details in order to set up your account, such as your phone number and email address.

Once your account is live, you’ll need to place your order and enter the code in at the checkout.

App users can also bag a McChicken Sandwich for 99p today by tapping on the offer in the deals section on the app.

Normally, the burgers cost £3.29 so diners will be saving £2.30 in the offer.

On Wednesday, McDonald’s lovers can get their hands on its hottest burger yet – the McSpicy.

The McSpicy burger isn’t the only new snack to have hit the Maccies menu recently.

And last month, it launches a new BBQ bacon stack burger, made with two beef patties, two slices of pepper jack cheese and bacon topped off with tomato, lettuce, onions and BBQ sauce.

McDonald’s has also announced a massive shake-up to its hot drinks loyalty card scheme.
