The items were only ever meant to stick around for six weeks as part of a big menu shakeup in October.

Other items were also added but so far they seem to still be available.

Mini Potato Waffles were added to the breakfast menu.

Also added was the McCrispy burger, but at the time the chain announced it is a permanent addition.

The Festive Pie has made a comeback too and doesn’t appear to have bumped the Apple Pie off the desserts menu.

It comes as McDonald’s made another big change to its menus yesterday by announcing the launch of the Mighty McMuffin.

It is filled with sausage, egg, bacon, cheese, and ketchup or brown sauce and is essentially a super-sized McMuffin with all the fillings.

The new item is available on all breakfast menus for the next six weeks.

The McCafe menu also had an update last month, adding two new drinks to its Christmas offering.

It features the brand new Caramel Waffle Latte and the returning Hot Chocolate Deluxe.

The drinks will only be around for the duration of the festive period.
