BANK Holidays are a perfect time to catch up on some DIY or get stuck into a flat pack furniture project.
We explain if IKEA is open for the May Bank Holiday on Monday, May 3.
When is IKEA open over the May Bank Holiday?
IKEA hasn’t published a full list of when stores will be opening over Bank Holiday Monday.
But when we used the shop’s store locator tool on its website, it looked like many branches were remaining open.
IKEA usually opens from 10am and shuts at around 9pm or 10pm on weekdays.
Most stores open around 11am and close at 5pm on Sundays.
However, it’s worth checking ahead with your local branch when it will open and close, as opening times may vary.
Is IKEA delivering over the bank holiday?
If you want to avoid shopping in store at IKEA, then you can still order online and get your haul delivered to your home.
DPD delivers IKEA’s packages, and delivery costs £2 if you get it delivered to a DPD pick up point.
If you want your order delivered to your home, then it costs from £4 for a small parcel and up to £19 for a large one.
However, DPD is closed over this Bank Holiday, so you won’t be able to pick your parcel up or get it delivered for tomorrow.
