MARTIN Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert has revealed how pastry lovers can bag a free Greggs sausage roll with one simple step.

Customers of the chain can get a free food item if they sign up to the app by January 2, 2023.

Once they have, they’ll be offered a steak bake, cheese and onion bake, vegan sausage roll and more, moneysavingexpert.com reports.

But you’ll have to be quick after downloading the app – you can only redeem the freebie within 31 days of signing up.

The latest offer comes in addition to the free hot drink customers new to the Greggs app can get.

Customers can get either of the freebies by downloading the app then popping to their nearest Greggs store and scanning their phone.

If you don’t know where your nearest Greggs store is, you can use its store locator.

It could see you save a few pounds as well – bakes and sausage rolls normally cost between £1 – £2 while hot drinks are usually £1.50 – £2.

You can get the app on iPhone and Android phones.

What other freebies can you get from Greggs?

It’s not the first time Greggs has run a freebie offer for customers.

And you can get items without having to spend a penny through other means as well.

O2 customers can get a free coffee, tea or hot chocolate once a week through O2 priority.

They just have to scan a QR code at the till when they order.

Plus, Greggs offers customers free cake and sweet treats on their birthdays.
