Mark Williams was in inspired form as he defeated John Higgins 13-7 to move into the quarter-finals of the world championship at the Crucible in Sheffield. The Welshman began Saturday’s evening session leading 10-6, and quickly concluded the best-of-25 match with impressive visits of 76, 85 and 77, despite Higgins winning a solitary frame in reply.
