The 80-year-old woman was found in a bath at a house in Ilford. A 54-year-old has been taken into custody

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an 80-year-old woman died in a bath at a house in east London.

The Metropolitan police said officers were called to Rushden Gardens in Ilford at 10.51am on Friday. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found in the bath unconscious and not breathing.
