A MAJOR high street store will close more stores over the weekend after 110 locations have already shut forever.
M&Co is bringing the shutters down on 24 stores today (April 22) and a further two tomorrow (April 23).

It comes after The Sun revealed that all of the brand’s remaining shops will shut for good by the end of the month.
It comes after the brand fell into administration last year and announced that all of its 170 stores will be closing.
Administrators at Teneo put the bust business up for sale with an auction deadline for interested buyers.
M&Co’s brand and intellectual property was sold to Yours Clothing but the stores weren’t and are set to close forever by the end of the month.
The 24 M&Co stores that are closing today are located in:
- Alnwick – April 22
- Beverley – April 22
- Blandford Forum April 22
- Chesham – April 22
- Cleveleys – April 22
- Cromer – April 22
- East Grinstead – April 22
- Fakenham – April 22
- Haddington – April 22
- Hunstanton – April 22
- Inverurie – April 22
- Kirkintilloch – April 22
- Largs – April 22
- Minehead – April 22
- Newport – April 22
- Northallerton – April 22
- Oswestry – April 22
- Penarth – April 22
- Portishead – April 22
- Ripon – April 22
- Saffron Walden – April 22
- St Andrews – April 22
- Stroud – April 22
- Surbiton – April 22
Two more shops will close forever tomorrow in:

M&Co has been running a huge 30-60% off closing down sale in stores in recent months to help shed remaining stock.

M&Co isn’t the only store to go into administration and shut its shop doors.
Stationery retailer Paperchase collapsed into administration on January 31 and all stores closed for good on April 3.

Retailers have been feeling the pinch since the pandemic while shoppers are cutting back spending due to soaring inflation.
When prices are going up it squeezes people’s incomes, meaning many are forced to shop less – and that’s bad news for shops, restaurants and pubs.
High energy costs and a shift to shopping online after the pandemic are also taking a toll and many high street shops have struggled to keep going.
