A MAJOR coffee chain with more than 2,000 sites is shutting another shop.
Costa Coffee is pulling down the shutters on one of its cafes in just a few weeks following a wave of closures.

The high street favourite has closed six stores in recent months, although one of which is being relocated and another renovated.
It has now confirmed to The Sun that its cafe in West Bridgford will be closing on September 22.
The site will remain open until then and operating as normal.
There will be several sites near by where customers can get their Costa fix including in Co-op and a Tesco supermarket.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the Costa Coffee store on 48-50 Bridgford Road in West Bridgford will close for trade on the September 22, 2023.
“We are working with our team members to redeploy them to other stores in the local area.
“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience the closure may cause and advise customers to visit our nearby store on Daleside Road, Nottingham, NG2 3GG, or visit www.costa.co.uk/locations/store-locator/map to find their nearest store.”
The coffee-chain, which has more than 2,000 sites across the UK, has closed the doors for a final time on three more of its shops over the past few months.

Another shop in the Coliseum retail park in Ellesmere Port shut its doors on June 3.
Back on June 5 its site in Welch Way, Witney pulled the shutters down, with customers being directed to other close by stores.
The chain also shut up shop at its Wigan town centre branch on June 25 this year.
Last month on July 9 Costa in Five Rise shopping centre in Bingley also shut, with coffee lovers being directed to the nearby Keighley branch.
Meanwhile, two of the chain’s sites have closed but will be reopen later this year with one in Worcester moving a few doors down this autumn – although no exact date has been specified.
Another cafe in Lowestoft’s North Quay retail park in Suffolk closed its doors on July 23.
The chain’s is treating the shop to a whole new look though and will be reopening later this year.
It will have a new interior and a whole new drive-thru lane added to it.
The hospitality sector has been suffering following the pandemic, only to be hit with soaring energy bills and inflation.
At the same time the cost of living has been rising, leading to shoppers cutting back on non-essential spending.
Food and pub chains have also been hit, resulting in brands like Wetherspoons and Frankie & Benny’s closing.
In January, Byron Burger fell into administration with owners saying it would result in the loss of over 200 jobs.
Italian dining chain Prezzo revealed plans to shut 46 restaurants back in April as a result of soaring energy and food costs, putting 810 jobs at risk.
Although some chains have managed to persevere, like Greggs which plans to open 150 new sites by the end of the year.
More retailers have struggled too, even bargain shops aren’t immune.
Discounter Wilko fell into administration earlier this month, putting 400 sites at risk.
Brick and mortar stores have seen a lack of footfall due to consumer habits switching to online shopping.
This change in habits has seen more high street brands collapse, such as M&Co and Paperchase.
Meanwhile, a big high street chain with over 1,200 locations is set to shut another shop in hours, in a fresh wave of 100 closures.
