A skincare lover shared how she was able to take home £20 worth of Lush products for free in a Facebook post.

She said: “I went to take my lush empty bottles back to the store for recycling.

“They give you 50p for each empty bottle to spend in store OR (this is new) a free £10 tub of fresh face mask for every 5 empty bottles.

“We took 10 bottle back and expected £5 but instead got £20 worth of products. Come home and found another 5 empty bottles.”

Lush’s Bring It Back recycling scheme offers personal benefits to its customers in the UK and Ireland for returning the plastic packaging its products come in back to its shops for recycling.

Customers who participate have a choice of two rewards.

They can either claim 50p per item returned, to be used in store or online, or return five full-sized qualifying items and take home a fresh face mask of their choice.

The Lush website states: “All full-sized Lush plastic pots, bottles and tubs qualify for both money-off and 5 for a fresh face mask rewards.”

It comes after Lush customer Victoria Canavan revealed in a TikTok video how she took advantage of the store’s recycling scheme.

She said in a clip posted to her page: “Come to me with Lush to bring all these empty pots back.

“I’ll get 50p for each full size pot and 5p for any sample pots I return.”

Making her way into her local shop, and then emptying the pots out of her bag onto the till, she stated: “I’m here with the goods – let’s see how much we’ve got.
