Detectives called in to find pair who ran off with artwork an hour after it was confirmed as genuine

Detectives are investigating the theft of a Banksy street sign worth up to £500,000 that was stolen in London less than an hour after being confirmed as a genuine installation.

The Metropolitan police confirmed that CID officers were trying to track down the culprits after a council in southeast London asked them to help find the stolen artwork.
