Counter-terrorism officers leading investigation into incident ‘out of caution’ say Merseyside police

A man has died and another was injured when a taxi exploded outside Liverpool’s Women’s Hospital on Sunday.

Merseyside police said detectives were keeping an open mind as to what caused the explosion, but that “out of caution” counter-terrorism officers are leading the investigation.
