LIVERPOOL players were NOT happy with their Fifa 22 ratings with Joe Gomez calling his downgraded card a ‘shambles’.

Other high profile Liverpool stars such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Alisson and Jordan Henderson all received downgrades.

Left-back Andy Robertson – whose card didn’t receive a downgrade – and Van Dijk were filmed handing out VIP copies of the game to their team-mates on Friday.

The defensive pair were first to review their cards for this year’s game.

Robertson’s card rating stayed the same as it was in Fifa 21, whereas Van Dijk strangely received a downgrade.

Robertson said: “ooooooooo…. they’ve dropped you one! ooooooooo, that’s nasty that.”

Which Van Dijk responded with: “Yeah, I’m not happy with this though.”

Mane was up next, saw the minus one downgrade, stared into the camera and told EA Sports ‘I’m not happy’.

Van Dijk then went to find his ‘brother’ Joe Gomez, and before he even reached his fellow defender, Gomez revealed he had already seen his card and branded it a ‘shambles’.

He said: “Bro I’ve already seen, it’s a shambles…it’s a shambles I don’t want it!

“Seriously, Milly [James Milner], out of 100 to only have 30 shooting, even my pace has gone down!”

Captain Henderson was up next, and Robertson warned: “Beware guys, this one could get aggressive.”

Henderson responded, saying: “You’re joking? What was I last year? Has anything gone up?”

Diogo Jota – who has previously gone 30-0 on competitive game mode FUT Champions – was far from impressed with his.

An 82 rated card wasn’t enough for someone who ‘developed the game’, joked Robertson and Van Dijk.

Robertson and Van Dijk then approached ‘underrated’ defender Joel Matip, who they believe should be the best dribbler.

Matip wasn’t really bothered, but Van Dijk was.

The trip saw Matip’s 83 rated card with 58 pace and 68 dribbling, and Van Dijk vowed to start a petition.

Van Dijk said: “68 dribbling? Are you kidding EA Sports?

“I’m starting a petition to have Joel Matip with 85 dribbling at least!”

Salah shockingly received a downgrade despite his incredible goal scoring consistency.

When asked by Robertson why he has been downgraded, Salah responded: “I don’t know! I scored more goals last season than the season before I think.”

Henderson jokingly tried to throw his copy of the game in the bin, but missed the target before picking it up and continuing with his day.
