The job entails assembling, installing, maintaining, and replacing elevators, escalators and chairlifts.
Anyone hoping to take on the role can learn how to do the work through an apprenticeship, without ever having earned a qualification.
However, there is one major downside to the job.
One listing reads: “Most elevator and escalator installers and repairers work full time.
“They may work overtime to make emergency repairs or to meet construction deadlines.
“Workers may be on call 24 hours a day.”
If being on call isn’t your cup of tea, you could earn up to £90,000 without a degree with this job – but there’s a major catch.

Insurance firm Unum says that chief listening officers can earn as much as £61,000 per year.
