THE bedroom experts at Winstons Beds have revealed a revolutionising hack to keep mould, condensation and damp at bay.
This clever trick will not just help you keep your home in tip top condition but will also save you cash.
Not only does having damp in your home make for a less pleasant living environment but it can also lead to health problems.
The experts said to avoid this you must switch off your heating and radiators at night.
With the cold weather upon us and the met office warning 80mph winds will blast the entire country – whacking on the heating seems a tempting option.
However, not only will this rack up a huge energy bill, but “it can also cause nasty coughs, a stuffy nose and even foot swelling”.

Having the heating on overnight is likely to increase the risk of mould forming on the walls due to trapped moisture in the air.
The experts are advising that bedrooms should have an optimum temperature of between 17 to 19ºC.
Rebecca Swain, mattress expert from Winstons Beds said: “We’ve arrived at that time of the year where many of us have had to turn our radiators on because of the cold temperatures.
“While many of us like to heat our bedrooms so we can get to sleep comfortably, we want to urge people not to keep the heating on throughout the entire night.

“The optimum temperature to sleep in is from 17 to 19ºC. Any higher can result in dry skin, coughing, sneezing and even mould taking over.”
This isn’t the only money saving hack to make the news recently.
