LIDL’S sell-out winter gadget is back on shelves this week and it could save you money on your energy bills.
The discount supermarket chain is bringing back its bargain electric throw, and it costs just 3p to run.

Silentnight luxury heated throw is back on supermarket shelves from November 19.
It will cost just £25 and is available in stores only.
You can find your nearest Lidl branch by using the store locator tool on its website.
The gadget was last available in December 2022 and cost £29.99.

It costs just 3p to run as it uses 100W of energy an hour.
The heated throw, which measures at 120cm wide and 160cm long, comes with nine heat settings and a three-year guarantee.
Not only that, but it will turn itself off if left alone for two hours, meaning it’s ideal if you want to put it over yourself before bedtime.
It does come with a warning not to fold it up when in use and is not recommended for children three or under.

This means they can be a great alternative to putting the heating on as they’re much cheaper to run.
Recent figures from CheckaTrade show that the average cost of running your heating per hour is 7p per kilowatt-hour.
This means that if you have a 24 kW boiler, it might cost you £1.68 an hour.
It means that if you have your heating on overnight for eight hours, it could cost you £13.44.
While Lidl’s heated blanket costs just 24p to run for eight hours.
The blanket is machine washable too to make for easy cleaning and is made of faux fur.
Shoppers are full of praise for the energy-saving gadget online.
One customer said: “Best thing I ever bought.”
While another wrote: “These are amazing! Total game changer.”
A third commented: “I’ve got an electric throw for the couch and they are amazing.”
Lidl isn’t the only retailer that’s sold the heated throw previously – Aldi often sells out when it brings the gadget to market.
Remember, to always shop around when buying something like this as you might be able to find it cheaper.

The Google Product tab is also a quick way to scan the internet to see if other websites are selling a similar product for less.

Argos sells Slumberdown electric blankets with prices starting from £35.
Tesco is also selling a heated blanket for £20.
Heated throws and blankets do differ slightly so make sure you do your research before you make a purchase.
A heated throws acts like a usual throw but heats up when turned on.
Electric blankets are designed to fit below the bottom sheet and they are typically used to pre-warm a bed.
