Iain Anderson says No 10 ‘trying to drive a wedge’ between LGB and T by excluding transgender people from ban

Ministers have been accused of waging a “woke war” after a key LGBT+ government adviser quit over plans to exclude transgender people from a long-awaited ban on conversion practices.

Iain Anderson said he was “completely shocked” by the decision and suggested Downing Street appeared to be “trying to drive a wedge” between those who are gay or bisexual and those who are transgender.
