MAJOR supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi and Morrisons are recalling items ranging from cereal to baby milk.
Some products have been recalled due to fears they contain pieces of plastic.

While others have been pulled from shelves over possible salmonella contamination, or because not all ingredients are listed on the label.
If you’ve bought any of the products, you’re being urged to avoid eating them and should instead return them to the store you bought them from for a full refund.
You don’t need to still have the receipt to get your money back.
Below we round up the latest recalls in the major supermarkets.
Your product recall rights
PRODUCT recalls are an important means of protecting consumers from dangerous goods.
As a general rule, if a recall involves a branded product, the manufacturer would usually have lead responsibility for the recall action.
But it’s often left up to supermarkets to notify customers when products could put them at risk.
If you are concerned about the safety of a product you own, always check the manufacturer’s website to see if a safety notice has been issued.
When it comes to appliances, rather than just food items, the onus is usually on you – the customer – to register the appliance with the manufacturer as if you don’t there is no way of contacting you to tell you about a fault.
If you become aware that an item you own has been recalled or has any safety noticed issued against it, make sure you follow the instructions given to you by the manufacturer.
They should usually provide you with more information and a contact number on its safety notice.
In some cases, the manufacturer might ask you to return the item for a full refund or arrange for the faulty product to be collected.
You should not be charged for any recall work – such as a repair, replacement or collection of the recalled item.
Aldi – Crisp Rice

Aldi is recalling 375g packs of Harvest Morn’s Crisp Rice because it’s been found to contain pieces of plastic.
Affected products come with a batch code of either 10470953, 10480953, 10490953 and a best before date of November 2021.
The cereal is sold for 65p per pack at the discounter.
Tesco – Tzatziki

Tesco last week issued a recall its own brand tzatziki because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label.
Due to a packaging error, some of the packs actually contain sour cream and chive dip instead.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.
The product recall applies to 200g packs, which come with a use by date of April 12, 2021. They cost £1.10 at Tesco.
Asda – Chicken Chargrills

Asda is recalling two-packs of chicken chargrills due to the possible presence of salmonella.
Affected packs weigh 170g and have a batch code of 31120953.
They also have a best before date of September 5, 2022.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
Asda said the products are being recalled because salmonella has been found in some packs, but it didn’t confirm how many packs are affected.
The chicken chargrills are sold for 95p per pack at Asda.
Morrisons – Choco Crackles

Morrisons is recalling its own brand choco cereal over fears it contains pieces of plastic.
The presence of plastic makes it unsafe to eat, and could be a choking hazard to small children.
The product recall applies to Morrisons Choco Crackles, which are sold in packs of 375g.
The affected products come with a best before date of November 2021.
The breakfast cereal is sold at Morrisons for 79p each.
Sainsbury’s – Medjool Dates

Sainsbury’s is recalling Medjool dates of its Taste the Difference brand because they may be contaminated with Hepatitis A.
Affected products come with a supplier code of “K0014 EW”, which you can find on the front of the packaging.
The product recall applies to pack sizes 200g and 500g, and affect all best before dates.
Symptoms caused by Hepatitis A usually include fever, nausea, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, dark-coloured urine and yellowing of the skin.
Cow & Gate and Aptamil – Muesli

Popular baby muesli products by Cow & Gate and Aptamil are being recalled over fears that toddlers can choke on the ingredients.
The items are sold in the UK’s major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
The muesli range is being recalled as some items have been found to contain pieces of apple stalk, which presents a choking hazard for babies.
The recall was first issued in January, but the Food Standards Agency (FSA) then issued another warning last week after two of three items were re-released in error.

The latest product recall applies to 330g packs of the Cow & Gate My First Muesli, which is for babies who are older than 10 months.
These come with a best before date of either December 20, 2021, or January 4, 2022.
It also affects 275g packs of the Aptamil Oats, Raisin & Apple Bircher Muesli, which is also suitable for babies aged 10 months and older.
These come with a best before date of January 16, 2022.
Nestlé – Infant Formula

Nestlé is recalling 800g packs of SMA Wysoy baby formula over fears it contains pieces of blue plastic.
The presence of plastic makes it unsafe to eat, and could be a choking hazard to babies.
Nestlé has recalled eight batches of the SMA Wysoy formula brand, these are:

The recall has been issued after Nestlé found some cans contained pieces of blue plastic, which is used to make the scoops.
It told The Sun the recall has been extended as it continues to investigate the root cause.
The formula has previously been sold by the UK’s major supermarkets, including Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, but the products are now listed as unavailable or out of stock.
Heron Foods – Milka Chooclate

Heron Foods is recalling two Milka chocolate bars over fears they could trigger allergic reactions.
The budget supermarket – owned by B&M – has pulled Milka Daim and Milk Yoghurt bars due to a labelling error which means the ingredients aren’t written in English.
As a result, someone with an allergy to one of the ingredients may consume the treats and end up being ill.
Shoppers who are allergic to milk, almonds, soya, hazlenuts, wheat or other nuts are advised not to eat the affected chocs.
Affected chocolate bars weigh 100g – the Milka Daim versions have a best before date of October 31, 2021 while the Milk Yoghurt ones have a best before date of February 1, 2022.
The retailer is advising customer who have one at home to check to see if the ingredients are in a foreign language.
Asda and Morrisons – Jim Jams Spreads

Jim Jams Spreads is recalling its dark hazelnut chocolate and dark chocolate orange spreads as they contain milk which isn’t mentioned on the label.
It means the spreads are a health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The products are also marketed as vegan, but they’re not suitable due to the milk ingredient.
The recall applies to 330g jars and affects all batch codes and best before dates.
The dark chocolate orange is sold by Asda for £2.50, while Morrisons sells both spreads for £2.80 each.

Other recent product recalls to look out for include Birds Eye chicken burgers, which have been recalled due to plastic fears.
