Kraft Heinz Co. said it is working to manage a snarled supply chain as demand outstrips its capacity to produce kids’ meals and other flagship products.
The food giant said Wednesday that capacity constraints limited its ability to meet demand for “back-to-school” products such as single-serve beverages and meal combos, which grew rapidly as children returned to school during the latest quarter. Delivering those products to customers became more difficult, executives said, and they expect similar hurdles for certain holiday items in coming months.
