A KFC diner has shared a trick for getting nearly over £16 worth of chicken for less than a tenner.

The savvy saver shared three different deals and discounts he used together to get the savings.

Often companies don’t let you combine deals in this way – known as stacking – as it can grow the savings so much.

For instance pizza fans could get £25 worth of Dominos for £2.50 thanks to a clever stacking trick.

Now one chicken fan on the hotukdeals website has explained how he stacked three deals to get dinner worth £16.15 for less at KFC.

Firstly, he got a bucket of 20 hot wings for £5.99 – a deal that KFC launched back in May.

Three KFC deals you can stack

You can save over a fiver using these deals together at KFC:

Bucket deal

Currently 10 mini fillets for £4.99

Bucket Addons

  • 2 sides for £2.49
  • £3 for one of: large popcorn chicken, 8 hot wings, 4 mini fillets, 4 pieces of chicken

15% off

On your KFC receipt there’s a link to a short customer experience survey, and you can then bag 15% off your next order by filling it out. You’ll need to enter the survey code and time stamp and claim the discount within 14 days.

Although this deal isn’t available any longer, you can get a similar one that’s a bucket of 10 mini fillets for £4.99.

The important thing here is that both these buckets – and any buckets – mean you can get more cheap food on top.

The saver, who goes by the username arthurmauk, said: “Reminder that these count as Buckets for the purpose of Bucket Addons, so you can add 2 large sides for £2.50, and 4 pieces/8 wings/4 fillets/large popcorn chicken for £3 each!”

So the first Bucket Addon is 2 large sides for £2.49, and usually these would cost £1.99 each. A large side includes any of the following:

  • Chips
  • Beans
  • Gravy
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Coleslaw
  • Southern rice
  • Creamy mash
  • Green salad

The second Bucket Addon gives you one of the following for £3 and we’ve included the usual non-deal price you would pay for the same items:

  • Large popcorn chicken (£4.29)
  • 8 hot wings (£3.96 in total based on 2 for 99p)
  • 4 mini fillets (£5.29)
  • 4 pieces of chicken (£6.18)

The deal-spotter went for the 4 pieces of chicken, so roughly saved £3.18 on this part.

As if those savings weren’t enough, they then landed 15% off the total.

The saver explains: “And if you did the receipt survey from your last visit within 30 days, you can get a further 15% off!”

It’s worth keeping hold of KFC receipts, as they have a link to a short customer experience survey, and you can then bag 15% off your next order by filling it out.

You’ll need to enter the survey code and time stamp to take part and you’ll need to claim the discount within 14 days of using it.

Bought separately without the deals and discount, we worked out the food would add up to £16.15, so they saved £6.39 in total.

The poster said: “Our last order was 20 wings, 2 large sides, and 4 thigh pieces (you can specify) for £9.76! Remember to sign up to the app, those trips stack up to free chicken!”

Here’s eight other ways to save money at KFC including how to bag a free side.

You can also get instant discounts at McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme – here’s how.
