Food deliveries have fallen at Just Eat Takeaway as customers return to restaurants.
Orders at the takeaway platform totalled 235.3million in the three months to the end of September – down 7 per cent on a year earlier.
The industry boomed during lockdowns but firms including Just Eat have now been adjusting to Brits dining out more.
Rising living costs have also bitten into consumers’ spending this year, with the number of orders in the UK and Ireland dropping 3 per cent.

The value of orders also dropped 7 per cent to £6billion.
But Just Eat upped its profits expectations to around £269million from a previous steer of £239million.
Chief executive Jitse Groen said there was a ‘particular strong momentum’ in its Northern Europe and UK and Ireland arms.
He added: ‘Within the UK and Ireland we continue to invest significantly whilst at the same time increasing profitability.’
Shares fell 3 per cent, or 31p, to 1008p, taking losses since the Covid peak in October 2020 to almost 90 per cent.
