On election night in 2019, you couldn’t turn on the TV without coming across a member of the Johnson family, says Teresa Rodrigues
Zoe Williams’ piece about Boris Johnson’s immediate family receiving honours is timely, and perhaps part of a process that started in December 2019 (I thought my opinion of Boris Johnson couldn’t be lower. Then he nominated his father for a knighthood, 6 March).
On election night, it was impossible to turn on the television without coming across a Johnson on ITV, the BBC and Channel 4. In fact, all four of the personalities in the photograph accompanying Zoe’s article were spread across the media. Is it any surprise that they are to be rewarded now and in the future for their work?
